Circuit history:

Gosforth Park was originally a horse racing track near Germiston, which was closed in the mid 1990s due to falling attendences. Bought by 15 times South African F1 Powerboat champion Peter Lindenberg in 2000, it reopened as WesBank Raceway in 2003 after redevelopment as a motor racing track, featuring a drag strip, road and oval course.
