Circuit history:
China's fourth permanent circuit opened in September 2004 (co-incidentally on the same day as the first Chinese Grand Prix at the more elaborate Shanghai International Circuit), catering for cars up to Formula 3 standard and motorcycles.
The circuit is located in Sheshan Songjiang district of Shanghai, at the junction of A30 motorway and Shenzhuan road.
In addition to the F3 track, STC has a 10,000 metre square proving ground, off road area, a multifunctional hall, VIP rooms, media center and grandstand, and even a cinema showing motoring-related films.
