Circuit history:

An unpopular and bumpy airfield circuit which ran races from 1958 until it was superceded by the Österreichring (and latterly the A1-Ring) in 1969.

After running international sportscar and Formula 2 races, the organisers secured a World Championship Grand Prix in 1964. The bumpy surface played havoc with the cars and many fell by the wayside, leaving Lorenzo Bandini to take his only win for Ferrari.
