Circuit history:
A much-vaunted circuit and oval facility in Moscow which was set to be constructed to host the Russian Grand Prix. Designed by Hermann Tilke, it was based on an island along the Moskva River. Work on the circuit was due to be completed by the end of 2003 in time for a GP the following year. However, the project was hit by a series of delays and political upheavals and the F1 dream has now faded away.
