Circuit history:

The second purpose-built circuit in the former USSR, Chaika opened in 1975 at a site on the outskirts of Kiev. The track was a mainstay of the Soviet racing scene in the 1970s and 80s, hosting many rounds of the Soviet Cup races.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Chaika fell into decline with no significant races held, competitions being confined to its kart course. Plans have been mooted, however, to reconstruct the circuit to the latest racing standards.
