Circuit history:
Cadwell Park, described by some as 'Britain's mini-Nürburgring', mainly hosts bike racing today, as its narrow, twisty confines make it largely unsuitable for anything above club racing meetings for cars.
The shorter club circuit holds the distinction of being the only one in the UK to feature a start line which is different to the finish line. Races start as usual on the main straight, before bypassing it on lap two and turning right at the hairpin before The Mountain section. The finish line is on the short straight after Mansfield.
For the 2004 season a new chicane was introduced after Mansfield to slow bike racers into The Mountain. Car races continue to use the original layout.
