Circuit history:
A temporary circuit constructed around access roads around the new Westin Hotel, golf course, and Convention Center on Hutchinson Island in Georgia, close to where the early Vanderbilt Cup races took place.
Savannah was supposed to hold Champ Car races, however a one-off Indy Lights race in 1997 lost money and the circuit proved unpopular with drivers, so the idea was quietly dropped.
