Magny-Cours, the home of the French Grand Prix, is set to receive a radical new look for 2003, with revisions to the final turns of the circuit.

The upgrade will see the final chicane replaced and added run-off installed for the final Lycee turn. The modifications could even stretchas far back as the challenging Imola chicane. earlier on in the lap.

Other upgrades to the circuit include improved grandstands around the track.

Circuit authorities have not yet revealed final details of the changes, but hope they will help stave off a rumoured bid for the Grand Prix from rival circuit Paul Ricard, which has itself undergone substantial renovations recently.
