Revisions to the Hungaroring are set to be made for 2003 in a bid to jazz up racing and provide better action for spectators.

Circuit bosses have revealed changes to the final sequence of corners which they hope will increase overtaking opportunities. The Turn 11 chicane will be eliminated, with a longer straight from Turn 10 leading to a new 90 degree bend. The track will then rejoin the current circuit after a short straight.

The Hungarian circuit has long been criticised for its boring races, with a slippery track surface and tight, twisty nature mitigating against close racing and passing opportunities.
