Cadwell Park has become the latest circuit to join the list of those that have installed chicanes in a bid to curb entry speeds into corners.

The Lincolnshire track's modifications leading into the Mountain section are near completion. They follow on from Yukio Kagayama's crash in last year's British Superbike race.

The chicane is a right/left flick 100m after the exit of Mansfield. According to circuit bosses, as well as slowing approach speeds, it has also hoped iIt will ensure that the bikes are in a more upright position when braking.

The chicane will not be used by cars but will be used by all bike events.

Elsewhere on the circuit the run-off at Hall Bends has also been significantly improved. The bank along with all the trees have been removed.

The new circuit lengths for motorcycles will be 1.483 miles for the club circuit and 2.180 miles for the full circuit. New lap records will therefore be set this season for motorcycles.
