Anew circuit close to Houston, Texas, is hoping to provide a 'country club for motorsports' - a venue for racing enthusiasts to take their street-legal cars, trucks or bikes and drive them in a safe and competitive environment.

MSR Houston already has some 65 members and circuit president Kim Campbell says storage facilities can't be built fast enough to cater for demand. The circuit is named after one of its sponsors - the Mercedes-Benz Sugarland Raceway.

The track is a 2.38 mile road course with 17 turns that is re-configurable to suit different events or needs. Plans include an clubhouse for business, relaxation and course observation. There are storage facilities for equipment and member vehicles.
